The Return of the Dadography Podcast: A New Chapter in the Journey of Fatherhood

Fatherhood is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging roles any man can take on. Each day brings new adventures, obstacles, and lessons that shape us not only as dads but as individuals. In 2020, I began the Dadography Podcast with the goal of capturing these experiences—sharing stories, insights, and the wisdom of fathers from different walks of life. However, life threw some curveballs, and after a two-year hiatus, I’m excited to announce that Dadography is back!

In this post, I want to share what’s changed during the break, what’s new with the podcast, and why this new chapter is even more exciting than before. Whether you're an old listener or new to Dadography, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the journey, the lessons learned, and what to expect moving forward.

Reflecting on the Two-Year Break

Life has a way of reshuffling priorities, and sometimes, we have to hit the pause button on projects we deeply care about. That’s exactly what happened with Dadography. When I first launched the show, it was an incredible experience to sit down with fathers and hear their stories. From balancing careers with parenthood to dealing with unexpected challenges like illness or loss, these conversations gave me a deeper understanding of the multifaceted journey of fatherhood.

But as I navigated my own personal life—balancing my career, family, and the inevitable curveballs that life throws our way—I realized I needed a break. Between juggling responsibilities and trying to keep up with the demands of producing high-quality content, it became clear that I wasn’t able to give Dadography the time and energy it deserved. It wasn’t an easy decision, but sometimes stepping back is necessary to come back stronger.

During the hiatus, I kept reflecting on the stories I’d heard and how much I missed sharing those moments with all of you. And that’s when I knew that I had to bring the podcast back, but with a fresh approach that fits the realities of both fatherhood and life.

What’s New With Dadography?

One of the most exciting things about the new Dadography is the refreshed format. While the heart of the podcast remains the same—telling the stories of fathers from around the world—there are a few changes designed to make the show more engaging, dynamic, and accessible for listeners.

1. Biweekly Episodes

In the past, Dadography featured long-form interviews released weekly. While those interviews were insightful and rich with content, the challenge of scheduling and producing them on a weekly basis was one of the reasons I needed a break. This time, I’ve made a key change: Dadography will now release episodes every other week. This gives me more time to curate content, refine episodes, and ensure every story we share is as impactful as possible.

Biweekly episodes also give listeners more breathing room to fully digest the stories, reflect on them, and apply those insights in their own lives. The stories of fatherhood are not just meant to be consumed quickly but to inspire and spark conversation. The new format allows for just that.

2. Diverse Content Formats

Another change I’m introducing is a more diverse content format. Yes, interviews with fathers will still be at the core of the podcast, but now, we’ll also be incorporating other types of content to keep things fresh. Here’s what to expect:

  • Rapid-Fire Q&A Sessions: These will be short, insightful conversations where I’ll answer questions from listeners, explore common parenting challenges, or provide quick tips based on my own experiences or those of past guests.

  • Fatherhood Clips and Comments: Throughout the course of my journey, I’ve come across some incredible fatherhood clips and quotes from social media, other podcasts, and articles. If I find something worth sharing, I’ll be bringing it directly to you on the show. Think of these segments as little nuggets of wisdom or humor that shine a light on what it means to be a dad in today’s world.

  • Speakpipe Integration: One of the coolest features we’re adding is Speakpipe. It’s a tool that allows listeners to leave voice messages directly on our website. I want to hear from you—whether it’s a question, a personal fatherhood story, or even feedback on the show. Who knows? Your message might even be featured in an upcoming episode!

3. Dadography on the Road: Global Perspectives

One of the most exciting new elements of Dadography’s retuography’s return is that we’re going global. As I travel to different countries, I’ll be recording quick, on-the-spot interviews with fathers .. The goal? To capture a more global perspective on fatherhood.

Every culture has its own unique approach to parenting, and by speaking with dads from different parts of the world, we can better understand the universal aspects of fatherhood while appreciating the nuances that make each experience unique. I’m thrilled to share these stories with you and to show how fatherhood transcends borders. Right now, we’re going global. As I travel to different countries, I’ll be recording quick, on-the-spot interviews with fathers in places like Spain and France.

Fatherhood: A Global and Timeless Journey

As I’ve traveled and spoken to fathers, one thing that becomes more apparent with each conversation is that fatherhood is a shared journey. Whether you're in Europe, the Americas, or any other part of the world, the challenges, joys, and lessons of fatherhood are universal.

But there are also deep cultural nuances that shape how fathers raise their children. For example, in France, fathers often emphasize the importance of teaching their children about cultural heritage and intellectual curiosity, while in Spain, the focus is more on family unity and the communal aspects of raising children. By incorporating these diverse voices into Dadography, I hope to shed light on both the commonalities and differences that make the journey of fatherhood so profound.

Personal Stories from the Road

During my travels, I’ve encountered so many fathers whose stories have stayed with me. In Spain, I met a dad who shared how his own father taught him the value of patience and presence, especially in a world that’s becoming increasingly fast-paced. He spoke about how he’s trying to pass that lesson down to his children, emphasizing the importance of simply being there—whether it’s for a soccer game or just an afternoon in the park.

In France, I spoke with a father who juggled his career as an entrepreneur with raising three kids. He talked about the struggle to find balance but also about the incredible bond he has with his children because of the effort he puts into making time for them. These are the kinds of stories that I can’t wait to share with you all.

What to Expect Moving Forward

As Dadography returns, I want to assure you that the core values of the podcast remain the same. This show has always been, and will continue to be, about sharing real, authentic stories of fatherhood. But I’m also excited about the changes and new features that will make the show even more engaging.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up:

  • Our first interview post-relaunch will be with [Guest Name], a dad who has navigated the challenges of fatherhood while building a successful business. His story is both inspiring and relatable, offering insights into work-life balance, resilience, and the importance of prioritizing family.

  • In upcoming episodes, you’ll hear from fathers around the world, including those I’ll be meeting on my travels. Expect powerful, global stories that highlight the many ways dads are shaping their families and their communities.

  • Interactive features like Speakpipe will give you, the listener, a chance to actively participate in the show. I want Dadography to be a platform for conversation, not just storytelling. Your voice matters, and I want to hear it!
